Who we are:

Propine is re-inventing capital markets using blockchain technology. We’ve worked with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), to become the first licensed custodian for digital assets in the world.

We are re-imagining the issuance and life cycle management of capital market products like equities, debt, structured products, and funds using blockchain technology, to reduce friction and increasing value accrual for both issuers and investors.

Job Brief:

Director will work with the CTO on a variety of projects to help create processes and execute strategies to ensure projects are developed in a timely manner. The responsibilities include effective people management, researching and developing new products, creating project budgets, and to ensure that projects are completed successfully throughout the year.

Requirements

• Assist the strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships
• Gauge progress of various projects and assign tasks to engineers in the team
• Strong standing in technical discussions, a subject matter expert, and getting-things-done attitude.
• Lead research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes.
• Identify, compare, select, and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs
• Work closely with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements
• Coordinate work with other managers and staff Other additional and/or alternative duties as assigned from time to time, including supporting other departments or Executives as needed.
• Develop, track, and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations
• Create overall technology standards and practices and ensure adherence
• Consolidate our technology platforms, track, and monitor technology performance metrics
• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape

Qualifications & Skills

• 10+ years of proven work experience in Engineering & team management or similar role, preferably in a rapidly growing organization
• Previously managed engineering teams and hands on experience in technical leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems
• Communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other management personnel
• Detail-oriented with incredible problem-solving abilities
• Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
