UX Researcher (IoT/OT Cybersecurity) - Internship

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated UX Researcher to join our team and play a crucial role in understanding user needs, conducting competitive analysis, and gathering insights to inform the development of outstanding cybersecurity solutions for the IoT/OT industry. As a UX Researcher, you will collaborate closely with the Product Manager and UX Developer to ensure our products are user-centered and aligned with the latest UX best practices. Your expertise and insights will help shape our product strategy, enhance our offerings, and ensure we meet the evolving needs of our customers in the rapidly changing cybersecurity landscape.
Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth research on existing solutions in the market related to IoT/OT cybersecurity.
- Analyze competitive products and services to identify strengths, weaknesses, and differentiators.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in IoT/OT cybersecurity.
Product Feature Analysis:
- Collaborate with the Product Manager and UX Developer to define product feature requirements and enhancements.
- Conduct feature analysis to identify best practices and innovative approaches to meet customer needs.
- Evaluate the feasibility, scalability, and impact of proposed features on the overall product roadmap.
Customer Interviews:
- Perform customer interviews to gather insights, understand pain points, and validate product assumptions.
- Translate customer feedback and requirements into actionable recommendations for the product team.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor to address their cybersecurity concerns.
Product Strategy and Planning:
- Work closely with the Product Manager to define and refine the product vision and roadmap.
- Provide technical expertise and insights to support strategic decision-making and prioritize development efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to align product objectives.
Documentation and Communication:
- Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate research findings, analysis, and recommendations.
- Clearly articulate complex technical concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the UX Developer to ensure seamless user experiences that align with cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or a related field.
- Experience as a UX Researcher, UX Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on deep tech domains being a plus.
- Proven experience in conducting user research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for staying updated with emerging UX trends and industry developments.
