This position is fully onsite at our Santa Clara, CA office. This candidate must be local.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President Organization Development, the Director of HR Operations will manage day-day HR operation, as well as be a strategic HR Business Partner for various departments within the organization. This position requires strong background and knowledge in the areas of talent management, performance management, employment and immigration laws, compensation & benefits, employee engagement and learning & developmen programs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Help develop HR strategy, solutions and strategic workforce plans that align with the business objectives.
- Develop robust talent management plans and drive initiatives by partnering with site managers to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles.
- Implement HR processes for talent acquisition, employee development & succession planning, performance management and employee engagement programs.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of HR professionals.
- Understand and communicate key performance indicators the team is responsible for delivering.
- Build and drive a culture of employee engagement to improve business performance and efficiency.
- Ensure appropriate communications, training and change management programs are carried out to successfully deploy new and/or expanded HR services and programs.
- Counsel and/or mentor employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, disciplinary action and/or terminations in line with company policies and legal mandates.
- Create and manage employee surveys, learning & development and mentoring programs and other initiatives aligned with employee needs and company culture.
- Manage the process of filing of temporary visas and green cards and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and immigration laws.
- Responsible for ongoing and annual HR reporting and managing OSHA/HR audits.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of employment and immigration laws.
- Proficiency with HR, applicant tracking, performance management and L&D systems.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. MBA/Masters degree in Human Resources field preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of human resources generalist experience with at least 5 years in a management position, preferably in a healthcare technology company. Global HR and manufacturing organization experience preferred.
- Recent HR certification from SHRM or HRCI requirements
- Must be well worsed with OSHA requirements/audits and compliance related filings.
- Experience with State of CA Employee Training program (ETP) and its reimbursement process.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Salary range: $175,000 - $185,000
