DescriptionWe are looking for a talented food scientist who will work in the new product development pipeline of Better Dairy. The role will focus on the development and maturation of cheese prototypes. The successful candidate will develop novel processes in cheese making using different ingredients without compromising on taste or quality.You will use your knowledge in food science and apply it in a novel approach of cheese making.This role is based in our Hackney Wick office and labs full time.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong technical ability alongside communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities

• Develop novel recipes of cheese making based on molecular ingredients
• Explore the molecular dynamics of milk proteins during cheese making to develop efficient animal-free cheese
• Test formulations and recipe iterations for our first products
• Problem solving for product quality and/or consistency issues
• Contribute to a positive work environment that embodies our values

Required Experience

• BSc or MSc in Food Science
• An understanding of ingredients, analytical tools, product formulation of cheese and other dairy products
• High degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
• Capable of performance in independent work and in a team setting

Desirable Experience

• Experience in cheese making
• Experience within dairy research
• Experience within an industrial environment
