We are looking for a passionate Senior Backend Developer who will be working in the core end-to-end web development of our AI Platform that will ideate consumer products of the future. As the Backend Developer, you will be working hand in hand with the CTO on the development of an AWS based web platform that uses advanced machine learning and AI models and handles millions of data points.

You will get the opportunity to work and scale the features on a growing Data Platform using state-of-the-art web technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop and test the custom web SaaS platform on AWS
Experience on Micro services architecture
Develop the Backend using Python-based framework, Django.
Integration of the web platform with AWS services such as Lambda, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, etc.
Iterative improvements to the existing features as well as the development of new features and product lines on the platform.
Work closely with the Frontend, Data Science, and Data Engineering Team to integrate the AI models
Scale the Web Platform to handle the growing data and users.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
Prior experience of** 4+ years** in customer-facing software platforms on AWS cloud
leveraging Django in startups or similar work environment
Strong experience with backend database schema design and working with technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
Full knowledge of ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.
Proficiency in Python programming in accordance with Software Development standards, including version control (git) and managing production codebase.

IDEAL

Deep technical understanding and integration of AWS PaaS and IaaS services in web applications
Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong understanding and integration of Elasticsearch into web development
Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, and CSS)
Prior experience in building interfaces on social media data (Twitter, Reddit, blogs, etc.)
